This is it folks. The last week of Maynia for me.
In a long 17 day journey I found I still don’t stitch as quickly as I used to lol. But that’s okay. It’s the last week of Maynia. Anything goes!
The last week of Maynia saw some rather small starts, and a surprising amount of progress on one of them. I started 5 new projects instead of the 6 I intended, giving me 17 new starts for the month.
At this rate, I’m probably going to have to work on these for at least a month to get them all done. That’s okay too!
I’ll still (hopefully) have a total of 37 finishes before July. While I may need to do another small pattern to make up for my lack of working on Witch Board, I’m still on track to have 50 finishes before New Year’s Eve.
Enough of the chit-chat. Let’s see what I started in the last week of Maynia!
On Sunday I did the Haunted Mansion Wallpaper. What you see is all the purple in the center row (1 over 1 on 28 count)
On Monday I started Merry Yule. The pattern is a little hard to read (a surprise, being that it’s a Primitive Hare pattern) but I managed to do a fair amount. Stitched 1 over 1 on 28 count:
Tuesday saw the start of ‘K is for Kelpie’ from the Dark Alphabet. I thought it would be cute to stitch all the letters 1 over 1, and just do them whenever I see fit, filling in the spaces where I’m going to hang them up over time. What have I done to myself? lol. It’s a tiny start, but hey, you gotta start somewhere!:
Wednesday I started what has to be my best progress on a piece this week. Slytherin Crest, a project I’m stitching for my little sister. I don’t know if I’m going to give it to her for her birthday or for Christmas. Probably her birthday. Stitched 2 over 2 on 28 count:
Finally on Thursday, my mind seemed to throw in the towel. I worked on ‘Never too old’ and I just couldn’t take anymore. I haven’t stitched at all since I stopped for the day. Here’s what I have ( 1 over 1 on 28):
That’s it. That’s all the stitching I have for the last week of Maynia. Honestly, the end felt like it couldn’t come soon enough. I think next year I’ll either stitch to projects that have a 50 stitch max count (non full coverage) or I just won’t do as many.
So to make up for not having an 18th start, here’s two pictures of my cats!
