The Lonely Mountain. Guarded by Smaug, chiefest of calamities.
Yes, Smaug has returned for a few days in his cavern in The Lonely Mountain. I decided to bring out this great little piece that I started at the beginning of Stitch Maynia. With a slight adjustment, it went flying by! In fact, I actually finished it in record time!
If you wish to stitch this yourself, and I do suggest it if you’re a fan of The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings, here’s the link to the pattern from the original creator.
I also worked a bit on Nevermore.
Admittedly, I didn’t do much on that. Right now I’m thinking of doing a two day rotation between two projects every week. I’m stitching until one is finished, and then adding a new one in so there’s always two. At least until I get all my Maynia starts finished. Here’s Nevermore:
Today’s excitement is brought to you by the letter F for fire.
In a special event today, I woke up to a semi large fire burning on the other side of my neighbor’s house. It was quiet the scuffle trying to get half dressed, pack a few things, and try to round up the cats to evacuate. The fight to get the cats was so bad. Spooky saw her cage and REFUSED to come out! I had to leave the house without her! As you can guess, I was worried sick the half hour we had to wait before we could come back home. She’s fine, Crookshanks is fine (though a bit upset at having been forced into a cage, and into the car), and only an outbuilding and some vegetation was burned, but boy do I NOT want a repeat of that ever again.
That’s all for now. Until next time, Happy Stitching.
