I only have two Christmas finishes to show you this week.
Ugh. It’s been a long couple of weeks. I was incredibly, painfully, sick for a couple days and that really threw me off. I couldn’t even post an update! I did, however, manage to take my time with the Christmas Time pattern, and finished that fairly quickly. I realized I didn’t have one of the called for colors, so I changed it up a little. Instead of shades of just red for the word ‘Christmas’, I changed it into a pink to red ombre look:
I know it’s not the best picture but if you want to see it without the glass just leave a comment and I’ll take a new one!
I took a few days off, and then started working on more ornaments!
The second of the two Christmas themed finishes only took a couple days, and is looking cute! ‘Nice’ by Mill Hill:
With these two Christmas finishes, I’m slowly building up my holiday decor. I also note that I have more ornaments than I thought I did, or even would at this point. It’s kind of nice, really.
Next I’m going to start the Violin ornament from Mill Hill.
I think it will be a fairly quick finish. Not too many colors, and it’s only 2 x 3.5 inches so it’s a bit smaller than the ‘naughty’ and ‘nice’ patterns.
What you may not know about me is that I took violin lessons for two years in elementary school, and taught myself after that so this instrument means a bit more to me than the other music themed ones available from Mill Hill. I may one day make a pattern to match the violin I have, which is black and glittery (Petite Treasure Braid? That would be awesome!).
In other news . . .
My shop is doing surprisingly well! I’ve had about 34 orders so far this month which is keeping me busy but also happy. I can’t complain about people liking my work! What’s more, people have been buying more of my premade patterns which delights me to no end! I worked hard on those, and seeing people appreciate them warms my black little heart.
That’s really about all there is for now. So until next time Happy Stitching!
